Today our gracious leader has passed away, we have for some reason promoted the dockman Lawrence Collier, he seems a capable and smart man. He has some radical new ideas for us as a colony. I fell that its a step forward in the right direction that we should be going, we must separate ourselfs from the savages both English and Indian. Lawrence has said we should be free to worship anything that we wish. I find some people will try to take advantage of these new freedoms given to us.
Our home is done, just in time for winters deathly arrival, food for now is not a issue for we can still fish before the bay freezes over. I now wait for the return of my faithful friend to return from trading.
